Up Country Half Term

We’ve been on our travels over half term; a 1000 mile round trip visiting friends and family up country. It was a bit hectic with so many lovely people to catch up with in Leicestershire, Yorkshire and Birmingham. We had a few days out enjoying the autumn colours; Baddesley Clinton (National Trust) in Warwickshire with the cousins, a walk at Market Bosworth Country Park with old (gold) friends as well as a city day in Birmingham.

It’s a few miles from the Cornwall homeland, but if you’re passing that way here’s a few pics to tempt you.

Baddesley Clinton

Baddesley Clinton is a moated manor house which has been refuge for many people over the years and features lots of priest holes which the children loved looking for. The trees in the orchard were laden with old varieties of apples and the dahlia display was beautiful.

Market Bosworth Country Park

Market Bosworth is a pretty market town and nearby you can explore Bosworth Battlefield the tomb of King Richard the III in Leicester Cathedral and Bosworth Water Park not far away.
