You might have seen the garden by day, well there’s something magical about the stillness of the garden illuminated at night.
Our arrival was announced by Youngest who made her feelings clear about the whole outing by refusing to wear shoes. She was fairly vocal in her protestations. After we’d got to the heart of the issue (a perceived imbalance in the sharing of sweets), shoes were accepted and we could all enjoy the rest of the evening. And we did.
For those looking for a quieter evening after a busy Christmas, (Ahem…) enjoy a relaxing walk in the illuminated garden as a post-Christmas treat between 27 and 31 December. Garden open 10.30am to 7pm (last entry 6.30pm). National Trust website, check for current events and times.
