The Eden Project are running a series of ‘Wow Weekends’ in January – perfect for entertaining the kids and adults alike in the post Christmas season (in which it is proving to be even more difficult than usual to get everyone to leave the house).
‘Amazing Space’ was the theme this weekend, with Squashbox Theatre presenting ‘Universarama’ – a witty and informative puppet show taking a tour around some of the big names and ideas in astronomy. It was wonderfully warm and funny with an important message of love and compassion tied in too. We all loved it. We’ve seen Squashbox before and we will now be looking out for the next opportunity. There were space themed activities too: Youngest decorated two planets whilst eldest made and fired a space rocket.
The kids loved running around the Tropical Biome with friends today, I was thankful for the cool weather which made it temperate inside. Eldest has been up to the rainforest lookout platform with Dad on a previous visit, I’ve not fancied the queue, or the steps, or the height, or the heat. But one day I will.
